Soon After

Wednesday. As mentioned, a fairly decent day yesterday, feeling perhaps even better this morning. To sleep after ten, but wide awake at six to get up without effort and have breakfast downstairs in the kitchen before setting up the laptop to finish and post yesterday's entry. No thought to go by Starbucks.

Back to the bedroom to lie down for a while, for a while becoming another hour of sleep similar to yesterday's, finding a note after from my sister saying she was off doing errands until noon, see you then.

OK, feeling good, and so a walk to a local little shopping area I've been to on past visits, passing by all the manicured lawns, flowers and little signs suggesting you not let your dog pee or crap on their lawn/flower beds. So a couple of pictures I'll look at when I get back to Oakland.

Coffee at an outside table at the one café I found open, the temperature nice sitting there in the shade under the trees for some twenty minutes. Felt good walking back, the right leg that had been aching a bit earlier on the way to, now behaving itself on the way back.

Later. Sister home, a drive to the local Walmart to pick up support socks, a Dr. Scholl's arch support insert and another Scholl's insert that claimed to fix sore feet, thinking it couldn't hurt to try all three. My sister says our whole family has high arches and the arch support and socks have worked well for her. What the hell, why not? Fingers crossed.

Lunch after, a turkey and bacon sandwich this time, more playing with fire and a potential ocular blow-back, but we blew right through eating chocolate yesterday, maybe we'll do well with cured meat today. Not much bacon, but we can at least claim we're flying near the edge and taking chances.

Evening. Had dinner while watching the Democratic Convention across the street with Mr. & Mrs. L. at their house. A good dinner, although I did have some pizza. Quite good pizza. We'll see about the cheese and pepperoni tomorrow heading back to Oakland, but again, a good dinner and good to see the both of them before leaving. Home by ten, to sleep I'm guessing soon after.

The photo up top was taken at the The San Francisco Gay Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
