Decent Hour

Monday. Lights out by ten. I think. Awakening around six, well ahead of the set for six-thirty alarm, up with the usual bitching (we don't really bitch: we're slow, we're not in the very best mood, but we're not really bitching) to walk to breakfast on a clear and humid morning. It was hot and humid yesterday, overly warm and humid last night to the point I moved the fan from the living room into the bedroom, so hot weather, unusual for Bay Area summers, less usual for the spring and the fall.

We'll do our usual pictures at Latham Square and over at the apartment house site later, but for now we'll finish this and think of ways to put the picture taking sessions off, albeit the further we put them off, the hotter and more humid the day. How to resolve this conflict?

Applying “intelligence” to the question would do the trick.

Ah, yes, intelligence. Rather like that stuffed animal you misplaced when you were a kid.

Later. A walk over to the apartment house construction site to see they'd made quite a bit of progress in spraying the whatever it is (stucco?) on the inner walls and so, of course, pictures. No thought to go anywhere else, no urge to buy an ice cream cone as it was getting warmer and more humid. So back to the apartment.

Noon, remembering to check the calendar to confirm a birthday that's coming up this week. Not having a proper card, so a walk over to the card shop on Lakeshore across from the ATM and thereby managing to kill two birds with one stone. Ice cream on the way back at the Dreyer's shop. Still quite warm, but cooler than it was yesterday, a bit of a breeze now and again to keep things sane.

Remembered it was Monday and time to run the weekly home blood thinner test, which I did. Within range. Good. I'd not been thinking about the blood test when I picked up the two bottles of sake yesterday at the supermarket (drinking them in the late afternoon and early evening), forgetting it can screw up the test if done to excess. Are two drinks the night before the test excess? Another mark to the negative side of the column.

No trip downtown to take Latham Square pictures?

Hmm?

Later still. Time on the tablet, letting another afternoon float right away.

Evening. Still warm and humid even with opening wide the bedroom windows and the balcony glass door. Watched a couple of things on the tablet, but difficult getting to sleep with the heat and the humidity even with the lights turned out at a decent hour.

The photo up top was taken at the Anime and Cosplay Festival Saturday in Japantown with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
