Days Go Well
Friday. A bit of a screw up on transferring yesterday's entry to the laptop, so we'll fix that when get home. Today on the train, yes, deciding I was on a train, didn't need to be huddled over a laptop working on the usual stuff when there was a new world passing by just outside my window. So I didn't. Rationalization enough. Besides, I was tired.

The train had arrived at hour and a half late, so we started out from Jack London at eleven in the evening, got in about seven hours sleep to get up at six-thirty to have breakfast in the dining car, back to the roomette for zone out and watch the scenery go by. My, my.

Arrived but an hour late in Portland where my sister picked me up at the station, lots of traffic, but to Lake Oswego and then off to dinner with sister, brother-in-law, nephew and nephew's girl friend. A good dinner followed by a game or three of bocce ball by the lake. Safe to say I was no longer in Oakland anymore. Or Kansas, for that matter.

Then to bed. Long day, long day tomorrow. Posting will be sporadic, although the days go well.

The photo up top was taken at Jack London Amtrak Station Thursday night with a Nikon D3s mounted with a 24-120mm f/4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
