Excitement
Friday. So, here we are. Yesterday, for whatever reason, I turned the motor over and accomplished one or two necessary tasks I've been putting off since I retired. It's not important what they were, but having done them is a good sign and lately I've been looking for good signs, any good signs. We're into this retirement thing and possibly we're making progress.

Up! Down! Up! Down!

I know, I know. Even I notice I'm running around in circles. A reader who happened to be a doctor left me a message some time ago that if I were really serious about finding out what was going on with the aching head I should check myself into the Mayo Clinic as they have an excellent system for tracking down problems associated with multiple symptoms. And I, of course, being a male, have avoided pushing my doctors. Silly me, silly we (males).

It's you, my bucko. Don't blame your fellow males (who are all over at the Mayo Clinic being tested).

I was downtown again today to have a pair of glasses repaired and ended up waiting, as it happened, at the bus stop across from the store with the awning I mentioned earlier this month with the three misspellings. My goodness! Lookie here! Can cigarettes be far behind? Did they change the similarly misspelled awning on the back side of the store? Lots of excitement here in Oakland!

The photograph was taken at the 2007 San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D2Xs mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 Nikkor VR lens at 1/250th second, f 2.8, ISO 640.
