Ten

Saturday. To sleep soon enough to awaken finally for good just before six to get up, take the blood pressure, find it a little high and so take the blood pressure med before getting back into bed and listen to the news until seven before getting up to walk to breakfast.

It looked as if there'd been some rain last night, but they're saying no more rain through the weekend. Took a picture of a vandalized car (it's been sitting there for a while gathering parking tickets) at the base of my hill on Euclid, another of the total lack of parked cars on Grand as I approached the restaurant. Entered the indoor dining area as always, turned on the lights and settled in at my table with the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for no good reason, finishing by nine to walk back home taking pictures of some of the usual suspects, the morning now lighter with some signs the sky may be clearing to the south. Entered the apartment house lobby to take the selfie and then head for the bathroom, something I'd been worried might happen since I'd started out. Didn't become a “get thee to the bathroom immediately” command until I'd opened the apartment door. Which I appreciated.

Later. Well, what did I get done this afternoon? Nothing on the need to do list. More time on the tablet? Of course. Some rummaging around with things that need packing in the bedroom? Yes, but not enough to crow about. The sun came out later this afternoon and I did take a glance outside. Oh, and replaced the failed batteries in my bathroom scale. And spent even more time on the tablet.

Evening. The blood pressure's a bit nasty, but that's the way it goes. I guess. Watched more of a Netflix series I now discover has over seventy episodes. I'd started it and watched the first ten or so and thought this must be ending soon and so looked at the list and discovered there's a total of seventy-six episodes in the thing.

Lights out not long after nine, nothing much I wanted to listen to on Saturday night radio, to sleep not all that long after ten.

The photo up top was taken at the 2014 San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with an 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
