Here In Oakland

Art & Life

Suspect

Sunday. Lights out after nine to awaken at six-thirty. OK, running a little late and so up and out the door to drive to breakfast at seven, only to arrive and discover the young woman who was opening this morning was running even later, finally arriving at seven-fifteen. Nice to have the car to sit in. Life will not end over having to wait in a car for fifteen minutes.

Had the oatmeal, toast and coffee for breakfast over the Sunday papers, taking my time and so not finishing up until after nine. The usual picture of the sidewalk heading to the car to then drive home and fiddle with yesterday's entry before posting. Two or three odd typos I hadn't caught yesterday when writing it. Odd typos. Perhaps they're a comment on our current condition.

Nothing I'm aware of going on out there today. Clear sunny skies, although they're saying rain later tonight and lasting through morning. We'll finish the Women's March web section (the paper estimated fifty thousand people showed up here in Oakland) and maybe see if we can't coax ourself out for that walk. I'm worried about the hesitancy I was feeling yesterday, wondering if I'll be up for photographing future demonstrations and events. If more exercise will help, then we'll find a way to get it in. He said. Sort of.

Later. Processed more pictures intermittently while watching the Patriots-Jaguars AFC championship game, New England coming from behind to beat Jacksonville in the fourth quarter. Was half rooting for the Jaguars, after seeing how they've managed to come from behind in their own fourth quarters in getting to the finals, but no problems either way. A good game. Might watch the one to come.

Anyway, finished the pictures and put together web sections for HereInOakland and artandlife, posting them by late afternoon. Wasn't sure I was going to do that. Didn't remember I'd threatened to get outside for the exercise later, but somehow that isn't surprising.

Evening. Just one instead of two Elementary episodes at five. Yes, I managed to watch it, even though I'd seen it before, probably more than once. Certainly once, can't really remember it was twice or more, but if I had to bet, I'd bet on more.

Which means?

My taste in programs is suspect, I suspect.

Yesterday at the Oakland Women's March taken with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 Nikkor VR II lens.
