The Morning

Sunday. When did I get to sleep last night? Not all that late, if memory serves, as it obviously doesn't. Ah, well. Awake at six, too early, and so taking our time in getting up and heading off to breakfast at seven. Home to fiddle with yesterday's entry, post and then check the usual web sites. Our morning routine. To bed to lie down and play at taking a nap, the CBS radio news saying rain starting later today and then continuing through Thursday, probably longer. Through Thursday? Longer? My, my.

Let's not wrinkle our nose at rain, now.

A debate as it approached noon. The choice was to either pick up a meal at KFC on the way back from the Lakeshore ATM or take the bus to the ATM on Broadway and then walk by the Subway for a tuna fish sandwich. We opted for a bus and the sandwich. And a cookie.

Later. Some football, switching between channels to watch both the Raiders and the 49'ers play their respective opponents on television, not much otherwise happening. A brief lie down for a pretend nap or two, no desire to go outside, although there was no indication of rain. Overcast, yes, but they're saying it will start later this evening. An excuse to drive to breakfast in the morning?

Evening. A two hour movie on the tablet, watchable, but more visual pyrotechnics than plot or story line. Still not quite sure of the narrative. Nothing on television and so light out by ten, I would think. Best to be clear now as I won't trust my memory in the morning.

The photo was taken today at the Medicare 50th Anniversary held in front of Oakland City Hall, July 30, 2015, with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 24-120mm f/4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
