Much Later
Sunday evening. So, up now after two naps this afternoon to make up for the sleep lost (I suspect) to the Zhu Cha I drank last night. Tea has caffein in it, right? A pot before bedtime isn't recommended unless you've built up your tolerance, right? Interesting to awaken at six-thirty in the evening after a second something like two hour afternoon nap thinking, for some reason, it was a weekday and I could still catch the tail end of the public television news program so I got up and turned on the TV waiting through maybe ten minutes of their fund drive before thinking well, they'd switch back to the news as they always do, right? Took me half an hour for reality to strike. Takes more and more time lately for reality to strike.

Monday. There is sun. We have sun. Rain, they're saying, sometime later, but later, as we all know, doesn't count, something to deal with in another life when it arrives. Not much sleep last night, but as the result of a burst of energy around two in the morning that saw me folding laundry, charging camera batteries (more camera batteries) and putting the bedroom right. All this without the benefit of caffein of any kind through coffee or tea. The lapse into a late night schedule is not good, we'll have to do something about that, but the attitude is right. Whoop! (Old Texas expression, pay no attention.)

Later now after returning from a late breakfast around noon. UPS delivered the new lens. Nice lens. Won't make a whit of difference in my photographs, but very little I've bought in the last five years has. Gotta remember I'm retired, though. Budget and all. Hard to eat a camera lens for breakfast. I'm told.

I did post some of the Bodie photographs. The Death Valley and Yosemite photographs will come one day, which day it's hard to say. This whole site probably needs a redesign, but I'll think about that later. Much later.

The photograph was taken at the 2006 San Francisco Gay Pride Parade with a Nikon D2Xs mounted with a 70 - 200mm f 2.8 Nikkor VR lens at 1/640th second, f 2.8, ISO 100.
