Relate

Monday. Awoke at five-thirty. Lights out at nine-thirty last night to awaken eight hours later at five-thirty, getting eight hours rest minus however long it took to get to sleep. Seems to work, so no complaints. Up to drive to breakfast again on this parking meter holiday, overcast, but without the low lying fog that arrived for an hour or so in the middle of breakfast. Parked in front of the restaurant at five minutes to seven to find it dark, but with a light back in the kitchen and so through the unlocked dining area door to settle in with the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, pancakes, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up by nine to drive home and stop to take the selfie before settling in at the computer to finish and post yesterday's entry. Sounds familiar. No thoughts on getting out to go anywhere later, other than it would be better if I did.

Later. Lied down on the bed for close to an hour, zoning in and zoning out as I listened to the radio. Which means I didn't really get enough sleep last night? These naps seem to happen more often than not, awakening early or not. Up then to watch whatever on television.

Evening. I had things to do today, none of which I did. Not uncommon, I'm afraid, but they do build up, these lists. To bed by eight, listening to the BBC News at nine and lights out again by nine-thirty. Another day with little to relate.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2016 Chinese New Year Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
