Comfortable

Friday. To bed early again, with lights out well before ten, to then awaken at just before six, another successful night of rest. I'd guess. Clear skies, clear head and so a walk to breakfast on another cold (cold for this Californian) morning to have the oatmeal with toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast.

Home, taking the usual mind numbingly unoriginal pictures (What can I say: if it amuses us, it amuses us.) in what I'd say was a good mood. Took just a half dose of the pain meds before setting out, skipped taking any after getting back home. We'll see if it seems to make any difference. Still in the dark on the stuff.

Nothing I'm aware of going on out there, although I think I need to somehow get my butt out the door to at least take a few pictures. Jump start the day a bit, see if it's of any help. In saying that, I probably won't.

Later. A walk to the burger drive-in to pick up another grilled cheese sandwich just before noon, bringing it home to eat it and then lying down for a while. A “while” turned into a well over an hour's nap, awakened finally by an Amazon delivery. A hour plus nap? After last night?

The rest of the afternoon spent futzing with the computer and listening to the news. A day with no day involved.

We're babbling.

Evening. Watched, or more accurately re-watched, the first two of three episodes of Cilla running this evening on PBS and then bailed on the third and last episode to go to bed. An odd more sleep than waking day today. Not unlike living in the twilight zone. Good or bad, it's at least comfortable.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
