Feeling Alright

Friday. We did get quite a bit of sleep during the day yesterday. We did: the two naps, more hours between them than I can remember getting during a day, so then up last night to watch Lewis (I've seen the episode before, more than once, remembered many of the scenes and remembered most of the ending, but still watched the damned thing), then the beginning of Vera, a series I'd not heard of before last week, before switching to Elementary from ten to eleven. So to bed late, in other words.

And awake at four-thirty. Wide awake, a no way to go back to sleep kind of awake. Ah, well. Up to finish yesterday's entry and start this as it approaches six. I have no idea how this will make the coming day evolve, but we have a prescription refill to pick up and that's pretty much all that needs to be done before the weekend arrives. That and some things that can be handled on the web. They're saying another warm partly cloudy day ahead. “Partly cloudy” day, partly cloudy head.

Later. Off to breakfast and back to then take a nap. Little if any sleep, but an hour resting on the bed feeling much better now and ready to head downtown to pick up the prescriptions. They look as if they're finishing up the roof across the street and so a picture. Sunny morning, warm day ahead.

Later still. And thus we take the bus downtown to pick up two prescription refills. There'd originally been one, but I put off picking it up long enough that it grew into two. Sounds about right. Over to the City Center for a quick cinnamon bun and coffee, not quite finishing the coffee before having to get up in order to catch the next bus back home. Still, feel pretty good, no thought or need for any of the pain meds, the head clear, the day clear. Good for us.

No trip to the apartment house construction site this afternoon to take photographs, spent the day either taking a nap or watching something on the computer or the tablet. Not sure if that's good or bad. Still, the day has gone well, no complaints. Doesn't look like they're going to put solar panels on that new roof, though. I had (minor) hopes they might.

Evening. Watched New Tricks at seven, skipped out on Poirot at eight and went to bed undoubtedly to watch something else on the tablet before turning out the lights, feeling alright.

The photo up top was taken at the Vietnamese Lunar New Year Tet Festival on Saturday with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
