Where It Goes
Friday. A bit of a marathon yesterday, turning out somewhat differently than I was expecting, but up this morning after a good night's sleep (counting that unexpected three hour nap late yesterday afternoon), back from a good breakfast and a thoroughly enjoyable reading of the papers. Why thoroughly enjoyable? Well, just for the hell of it. Nothing particularly in the papers, I'm afraid, to ring one's bell.

Still, it's Friday, it's overcast looking toward rain, the sinus-head thing is all in a twist for the moment, but not in the “way” somehow. Not sure why. The living room is still looking good, inviting. More effort on that perhaps, some additional work on another Oakland Miscellaneous page for artandlife.com (progress, progress - nothing to post yet, but closer I think) and more hanging of framed pictures in the bedroom to get them off the floor. I keep saying that, suggesting I actually got some done a couple days back. It turned out not to be the truth, but the project is hardly long or difficult, and it's going to get done, even without the hup, hup, hup!

Yes, yes.

Later. Forgot about the dentist's appointment later today at one. Maybe go early and get in my walk down Solano Avenue, take a picture or two. Sitting here after putting one or two things in place, running a couple of prints, checking the blood pressure: eighty-eight over sixty. That's too low. Hasn't been a problem since we cut back the prescription and the dose some months ago. At least weeks ago. But I talked about this, something to mention to the doctor Monday when we go over everything else.

Hell. Just turn yourself in at the morgue and cut this crap.

We're not thinking undertaker here, we're just, well, making notes.

Later still. Raining like a son of a gun, starting about the time I reached the dentist's office, back home now and it's really coming down. So I'm holed up here, the heater working nicely, the new lamps putting a nice glow on the far living room wall, plenty to keep me entertained for the afternoon. And feeling better finally; the morning, you may have detected, a little slow.

A picture taken yesterday across the street from Sears (where I was looking for that belt), no reason to run it other than I like the look on his or her face, the electrical access cover adding something in some odd way to the image. And I did post another page to Oakland Miscellaneous. A different direction maybe? We'll see where it goes.

The photograph was taken at Jack London Square in Oakland with a Nikon D3s mounted with a 24 - 70mm f 2.8 Nikkor G lens at f 8 at 1/800th second, ISO 200.
