The intrepid photographer in 2004

Under here.

February 18, 2008

Sleep This Evening
Monday. The photograph was scanned from a black and white negative taken at a photo session by a friend who wanted some head shots for a Zed card. The negatives are pretty awful, some due to the processing (done by an outside “custom” service), quite dirty and badly exposed. I'm responsible for ”badly exposed“. They really only turn out well if you do them yourself, so maybe that will be my next act here now that I'm retired. Yes, yes, I've been talking about it forever, but I've been delaying converting ArtAndLife to Rien's new design forever and I seem to be working on it again, a project facilitated by going through old images. I've actually begun a move to learn more about PhotoShop after reading about a new recommended DVD set of lessons. Why not? I worked in a cubicle doing other people's computer things for years, why not make use of my time doing similar things for myself?

And why not?

That's what I was asking myself.

It's taking you an awful long time to figure out what retirement is about.

Isn't it, though. Perhaps the slow are slow and that's how it goes.

Tired today, for whatever reason. I had some sake last night, but not all that much sake last night. I'll get some sleep this evening.

The photograph was taken at a photo session in 2004 by the model with a Nikon F5 probably mounted with a 135mm f 2.0 Nikkor lens at f 2.0 on Kodak TMY-400.
