Under Construction

A studio session in Emeryville

February 18, 2007

Print Later
Sunday. Up in the seventies yesterday: hot enough to be uncomfortable without a fan. The printer is now in place and I've made prints and compared them to duplicates made on my six year old Epson. There are differences, but subtle differences and I'm not sure I care one way or another. The new printer is much faster, though, and it prints with three different black ink cartridges that are said to produce hot-patootie black and white. I did notice the blacks in the color prints seemed deeper with greater opacity so I'll track down some black and white to print later.

The photograph was taken at a studio session in Emeryville with a Nikon D2X mounted with a 17-55mm f 2.8 Nikkor lens at 1/160th second, f 6.3, ISO 100.
