To Notice
Tuesday. Raining hard early this morning, the sun breaking through as I returned home from breakfast, plenty of clouds up there though, plenty of rain still coming. My sister says she has five inches of snow in Portland, so what's with a little rain? Would I drive to breakfast in the snow? I know I wouldn't walk. What am I saying, it snowed when I was in Portland last year and I drove many a mile in the early mornings for a cup of coffee and a newspaper.

So I set up a stool, a portrait table and a tripod yesterday and then went to find the tripod base plate attachment doohickey I have for the camera. I found the base plates for all of the other cameras I have (each one requires its own specialized plate, you don't want to know what each of these costs), but not the one I was looking for. Couldn't find it. It's here somewhere, but where? So I started looking. When you're looking it's hard not to clean up whatever area you're looking in and, although I didn't find it yesterday, I did clean up areas of the bedroom and some small areas in the living room that have been needing it for the last, oh, months and months. My, my. More of that today. Maybe if I can put off actually finding the thing for the rest of the week.... Could this be a start? Eighteen months of retirement and the engine is finally showing a spark? Oh, who knows? I've written the same entry over and over now so many times even I am starting to notice.
