Nine Out Of Ten
Friday. I've been kinda liking what I've been seeing with this YouTube thing. Little videos, some of them scripted, some of them not: you push a button and watch. Even Rien's playing with them now (an old ex-video editor, what can you expect?). Of course I'd have to acquire a video cam, nothing too exotic mind you, and actually expend “effort” to make it work. Much easier to do it if you didn't have to make it half way clever so somebody will watch. Not an issue if “clever” didn't require effort. I've been tepid on “effort” these last many months.

Sunny today after a lot of rain last night, the air after-rain clear, breakfast at the usual place, a get together at Mr. M's house later this evening, not sure I want to get involved in any kind of drinking marathon so soon after the last.

And when was the last?

That's part of the problem, it's hard to remember the last, not that it was all that long ago (as some readers will know), but the memory goes, the mind goes, yet the various batches of alcoholic beverages and the opportunities to sample them just seem to go on and on.

Oh, another lens: a photograph of a local building on Lake Merritt taken at 14mm, another taken at 24. Very nice. A wide angle will get you out of a tight assed deadline situation faster than a telephoto can nine out of ten. They're really very sharp.

The photograph was taken at the Oakland Holiday parade with a Nikon D2X mounted with a 17 - 55mm f 2.8 Nikkor lens at 1/500th second, f 2.8, ISO 100.
