Do You In
Saturday. A walk down the way to the usual cafe this morning, feeling better I guess, but walking and wondering at the obvious deterioration in my stamina now that I haven't been walking for what is obviously too long. Still, a good breakfast after a long and, I would assume, good night's sleep although I have to admit it's now late in the morning on a warm December day and I feel the need to nap. Is that normal? This is often the case on a Saturday. Is it the effect of the previous week? A stressful week? I'm now recalling previous Saturdays feeling like crap, I've written about them here, is it just that? Your Saturdays are generally crap after a certain age when you spend too many hours at the office? Could be. Hard to tell. Here in Oakland.

Later now in the early evening. I've made a run to Beverages and More and heated the first flask of sake in one of the new sake sets I ordered on line from Asian Art Mall. I like their sake sets. For some reason, don't ask my why, I ordered five of them last week while I was, well, feeling no pain. They send me an email every now and then suggesting a young gentleman should never be without a fashionable sake set and I like to look through their catalog when it arrives, particularly if it arrives when I'm about three sheets to the wind on a Saturday evening well into my Japanese soaps. At least they're cheap. Relatively cheap. I now have more sake sets than I suspect I need although there is a body of opinion held by some that it's the sake and not the sake sets that do you in.

The photograph was taken at the Sistahs Steppin in Pride parade in Oakland with a Nikon D2X mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR Nikkor lens at 1/800th, f 2.8, ISO 100.
