Knew The Ending
Friday. It's not raining, but it's overcast and thinking about it. I am not in a rainy mood, but I'm watching my progress and thinking about it. The thought does occur that I could do this full time, a never ending string of four day weekends, and stay happily busy and content. I have no doubt the apartment would appreciate it, I have no doubt my diet would appreciate it, I have no doubt I would appreciate it until I ran out of money and couldn't pay the rent. If I did run out of money and couldn't pay the rent. One of the few but powerful reasons we don't necessarily hope we'll live forever. Living forever would put us out on the street at the mercy of swine such as ourselves.

But this is not the way I wanted to start.

Later. A day of naps and futzing with the computer. A walk down to the Grand Lake Theater to see King Kong. Everything was a little overdone, everything was a little over the top (which is hard to do when you're dealing with a 30 foot gorilla), but better than the last remake. Better than the original? No, but then no one expected that. I left the theater as they reached New York City, but then I already knew the ending.

The photograph was taken of Mr. Sushi's daughter with a Nikon D2x mounted with a 17-55mm f 2.8 Nikkor lens and an SB-800 flash at 1/60th second, f 5.6, ISO 100.
