Bed

Wednesday. Lights out by ten to again awaken at about seven minutes to six, giving me time to get up, take the meds and then listen to the KPFA five minute news broadcast before Democracy Now! started at six. A bit fuzzy headed, a little slow in descending the stairs heading out to breakfast, but uncomfortably surprised to realize, as I started walking along Grand, that I'd forgotten to bring the papers. I'd left them nicely folded together on the kitchen counter, remembering to pick up the trash to drop off at the trash baskets on the way out, but not remembering the papers. A first. And one hopes a last.

Returned, picked up the papers, thought about driving, but headed out again and walked what turned out to be reasonably good fettle to have the chicken-apple sausage, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. OK. Overcast. At least their idea it would be overly warm today doesn't look as if it will come to pass, not that it matters.

The usual pictures on the walk home to include a picture of one of the plugs they'd used to seal the two holes they'd drilled yesterday in the parking lot at the base of my hill. I'm still curious as to what they are, but suspect I'll never know.

Unless you'd been smart enough to walk over and ask one of the workers.

Next you'll be suggesting I - lost, no GPS, no map - ask someone on the street for directions?

Later. Tired and so a lie down for an hour to zone out in the early afternoon before heading over to the burger drive-in for a grilled cheese sandwich. Better the sandwich than yesterday's bean dip and chips. What was I thinking about yesterday with the bean dip and chips?

And that's pretty much been the day. The usual news programs, one or two Law & Order episodes that I've seen before and didn't need to see again and now it's moving toward evening. Nice sunny and not overly warm weather out there, the low seventies, still had no thought to go out for a walk. I suspect if I had the head would have cleared. Maybe remember that tomorrow.

Evening. An evening much like many another. Listened to Democracy Now! because I always do, took a look at the Midsomer Murders that started at seven without sparking any interest, checked out another Law & Order I'd seen before, started a New Tricks episode I wasn't sure I'd seen before, but bailed and went to bed.

The photo up top was taken Saturday at the Oakland Chinatown StreetFest with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
