Perhaps It Does
Monday. An aching neck and head and mouth all the day long, the neck from last night when I managed to sleep with my head propped up on a pillow at some not recommended angle so I took whatever pills I could find at the office - IT people usually stock a large variety of pills of every kind scattered about on our desks ready for deployment - and now I'm feeling better this late afternoon at the computer in front of a fan with Ms. Emmy on my lap trying without success to settle down. I've got a hyper cat. (HyperCat, champion of the downtrodden!)

Give it a break.

Other than these usual protestations, what otherwise is up? Lunch today at a new restaurant, $4.80 for an excellent shrimp dumpling soup. Shrimp dumpling soup and a bottle of Tsingtao discussing the various changes going on in the company over the course of an hour with MRE (the general consensus is they're going to drop the boom as in boom! at the end of next month) both of us returning to the office in reasonably good moods. Carried the camera with me, as always, shooting not a picture. Didn't even think of shooting a picture, which is an ongoing flaw in my idea of carrying a camera with me day and night to generate sufficient photographs for the journal. Which is OK. I tell myself it causes me to occasionally think and see images that I would probably otherwise pass without notice and perhaps it does, perhaps it does.

The photograph was taken at a Chinese festival in Oakland with a Nikon D2x mounted with a 70-200mm 2.8 VR Nikkor lens at 1/250th, f 2.8, ISO 100.
