Crawl Back Into Bed
I spent this day taking naps and working on my links page. It's old and out of date and needs an upgrade, particularly the journals part. I have to go into work tomorrow to finish some things for Monday, which means if I'm going to go out and shoot photographs, I'm going to have to do it in the morning. Remember my moaning about getting outside without a purpose (such as photographs) and inviting a little excitement back into my weekends? Well, next weekend. I really need to shoot some film so I won't sweat it so much when it's time to pick a banner. Or give up the banners. I've thought about that.

That cold I had last week is clearly gone and it gives me a chance to Carol Doda at the Rip Off Press examine how the jaw is doing. I keep saying I've turned the corner and then I keep taking the pills to knock back the aching, particularly during the day at work. I often skip them in the evening and last night was no exception, except there has been no great urge to take one today either. That's different. That's progress. Maybe tomorrow at the office I'll have a relapse, I'm having a relapse right now just thinking about it, but who knows? Maybe the days of needing help with the aching teeth are gone now two months and 6 days after the operation. Those of you planning on running out real soon to have an operation of your own should be taking notes. You'll be much better prepared than this idiot Sole Proprietor ever thought of being.

So tomorrow I finish some things at the office, I shoot some pictures and maybe I finish the links. What am I saying? I'm going to the office because I have to, there's no way around it, but the rest of the day? Hell, if I'm lucky I'll crawl back into bed.

Both of the Carol Doda photographs were taken in the early 1970's at the Rip Off Press in San Franciso for a Rip Off Review of Western Culture promotion. The photographer we had lined up to shoot the session couldn't make it so I filled in with my Canon. She was a good sport and put up with a ratty dressing room to put on the Freak Brother's T-shirt and pose. I hope she's in good health these days and counting her millions up on Telegraph Hill.
